Creek-link is an online mapping system that allows participating community groups such as Landcare to map details of local waterways and using a colour coded graphic. Information such as extent of native vegetation, proposed revegetation works and livestock access or exclusion can be readily be represented on the map.
Creek-link allows groups to better target and prioritise revegetation works that will link waterway habitat, and it provides a way for the community and government agencies to easily monitor the progress of their efforts.
Strath Creek has joined ten other Landcare groups in trialling the system.
